Pandora has a unique history with numbers. While the world evolved to a simple numbering system, the base-10, the decimal, Pandora has adapted a completely different number system using Nagashinsū (Pando-Japanese: 永進数, lit. eternal (number) base), and Kagishinsū (Pando-Japanese: 鍵進数, lit. key (number) base). There are three Nagashinsū (Meishinsū (Pando-Japanese: 明進数, lit. bright (number) base), Tōshinsū (Pando-Japanese: 刀進数, lit. katana (number) base), and Ryūshinsū (Pando-Japanese: 竜進数, lit. dragon (number) base)) and one Kagishinsū. Honshinsū (本進数) describes the standard base-10 numbering system that the rest of the world has adopted.
